The Thames Squash Club is set to host an exciting evening featuring some of New Zealand’s top squash talent, including world No. 2 Paul Coll and Commonwealth Games champion Joelle King.

The Thames Squash Club is preparing to welcome some of New Zealand’s biggest names in squash for a special evening that will celebrate both the sport’s elite talent and the strength of the local squash community.

Made possible through the support of Westpac and other local businesses, the event will showcase the depth of experience and passion that exists within the Thames Squash Club, with members and supporters helping create an opportunity that brings world-class squash directly to the region.

Headlining the evening will be New Zealand squash superstar and current World No. 2 Paul Coll, who will take part in a special exhibition match against the talented Oli Dunbar. Paul Coll remains one of the world’s leading players and continues to fly the flag for New Zealand on the international stage. He was the first New Zealand male to reach World No.1.

Also, former World No. 3 and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Joelle King, will face exciting young New Zealand prospect Ella Lash in a second exhibition match. Joelle King remains one of the country’s most accomplished squash players, while Lash continues to build momentum on the PSA World Tour as one of New Zealand’s promising emerging professionals.

Beyond the exhibition matches. Junior players will take part in on-court hitting sessions with Coll and Dunbar, while all attendees will have access to meet-and-greet opportunities and Q&A sessions.

This event reflects the Thames Squash Club’s ongoing commitment to growing the game and creating opportunities for players of all ages to learn from and be inspired by some of New Zealand’s best.

Club President, Leigh Robcke adds “This is more than hosting a couple of exhibition matches. It’s about celebrating squash, showcasing the incredible knowledge and experience within our own club, and giving our members, juniors and the wider community a chance to engage with players performing at the highest level of the game.”

Squash enthusiasts from across the region are invited. It  promises to be an evening of world-class competition, inspiration and community spirit.
