Hunter wins the big prize
Levi and Hunter Nicholson featured in last weeks’ issue of The Informer having caught possible prize winning fish in the Hunting and Fishing Junior Tournament and Youth Nationals Competition. Levi had caught a 14.02 kg Kingfish and Hunter a 6.47 kg Snapper.
Who would have thought that Hunter would win a much bigger prize, not by fishing for long days in the boat with this father, grandfather and brother, but by being the one whose name was called at random on Saturday night, 18 April at the Mercury Bay Game Fishing Club. Hunter won $10,000 worth of prizes all to do with fishing – the BIG prize donated by Whitianga Hunting and Fishing the major sponsor of the Junior Fishing competition.
The results of the Youth Nationals involves other NZSFC affiliated clubs and the competition finals have not yet been announced.
