A passion for fishing.

This awesome 6-year-old caught this massive snapper in Whitianga last weekend off his poppa’s boat. Haze Lowe hooked the snapper, and it nearly took him overboard but with Dad’s help, they reeled it in together. Weighing in at a mighty 10 pounds, he is very proud of his catch.

Haze is 7th generation Whitianga. All his family prior to him – his Dad, Poppa, Great Granddad- have all been excellent fishermen, passionate about our ocean and respectful of it. From his Mum, Jodie; “You can see the same passion and skill has been passed down the line to young Haze. He is a very keen fisherman!”
