Patchwork Unlimited Turua brings together craft enthusiasts of all experience levels in a friendly and supportive environment where members share skills, learn new techniques, and build lasting friendships.

Patchwork Knitting

We are a friendly group of approximately 40 members who meet fortnightly at the Turua Community Hall every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. We do many crafts including sewing, hand quilting, and embroidery projects, even knitting.

We come from various background and have different skill levels, which makes it a perfect environment for learning more tips and tricks, getting inspiration for future projects and to making new friends.

Throughout the year we organise workshops with renowned national tutors to explore different techniques and experiment using a variety of materials, i.e. paint or threads.

Then there are the fun bus trips to destinations far and wide or as we say, Fabric Acquisition Road Trips (FARTS), we have raffles along the way, lunch out, and shared camaraderie.

Come along to the exhibition in the Thames Civic Centre on Friday 7th August to Sunday 9th August, to see some amazing quilts, table runners, bags, even quilted clothing, all made by club members.

Lastly 8 merchants will have popup shops selling that piece of fabric or sewing notion or ball of wool that you need.

Feel free to contact us, Kirstin 021 211 0857 or Sheryll 021 665 972.
