They are easily guessed by machines and many of us use the same password for different accounts. These factors make it easy for unscrupulous scammers to gain access to our money, data and other sensitive information.
Make it hard for this to happen by learning how to use passkeys. Passkeys are a very different technology that securely logs you in without your having to remember your password or to have to go through the sometimes cumbersome ritual of 2 factor authentication (2FA).
Now’s the time to learn what passkeys are and how to use them keep access to your accounts secure.
If you’d like to learn more about this new technology or any other function of your device, arrange a 45 minute one-on-one session with one of our Tutors. Pam can help you if you have an iPhone, and Alan, Molly or Megan can assist if you have an Android phone (Samsung, etc.).
One-on-Ones are held on Wednesdays in our classrooms at Whitianga Social Services Building, 2 Cook Drive.
