Get some cash out ready to give the collectors in your community or township. Eftpos is available in some of the main locations such as New World and Woolworths and main street locations and QR codes on posters can be scanned for you to give. However, having some cash on hand will make it possible for you to give wherever you are.
Some towns are offering opportunities to donate and will be very busy this Friday and Saturday collecting for the work of cancer support and cancer research.
Whitianga
Whitianga Lions Club will be collecting from the businesses in the Moewai Road Industrial area and have a resident table at Coro Club, that wonderful Café near the Whitianga Airport.
Mercury Bay Lions Club collectors and Cancer Society volunteers will be out and about at New World and Tangos in Albert Street, and at Buffalo Beach 4 Square. Woolworths will have volunteers on Saturday.
The Lions Club will be collecting from the businesses in the Moewai Road Industrial area and have a resident table at Coro Club. Thank you to Jan White and Ann Mulcahy for their organisation of volunteers and ensuring coverage of Mercury Bay.
Hahei and Cooks Beach will have collectors in their main shopping areas on Friday.
Thames – Goldields Mall and Harcourts Rentals.
Coromandel township – Tennis Clubs pop-up stores and raffles on the main street.
Tairua – Harcourts office in the main street in Tairua on Friday and Saturday.
Pauanui Information Centre are doing a cake stall on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August to support daffodil day. Cancer Society Harcourts Rentals in Paeroa, Thames, Waihi.
Paeroa – Harcourts Luncheon at Paeroa RSA already held Monday this week.
Waihi – Waihi college, Harcourts, Waihi RSA.
Whangamata – look out at our local supermarket and on the main street or at New World.
Daffodil Day relies on local volunteers (often representing their local Cancer Support organisation) working collaboratively with the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society.
