This year’s Beach Hop parking fundraiser at Whangamata Area School proved that even wet and muddy conditions can’t dampen community spirit.

This year’s Beach Hop parking (back in March) at Whangamata Area School was once again organised and hosted by volunteers from the Hauraki-Coromandel area of the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (NZMCA) and it was a huge success albeit wet and muddy! We are pleased to report that the rally raised over $14,500 for Whangamata Area School.

Editor’s Note:  This is such a great effort by this group of volunteers over the four days of Beach Hop. They are all members of the Motor Caravan Association and some are not local but come to support and attend as volunteers to assist the Beach Hop and boost the funds of the Whangamata Area School. Jo Martin is Chair of Hauraki-Coromandel NZMCA.
