In the shadow of an announced amalgamation of TCDC, Hauraki and Matamata-Piako, Enterprise Whangamata held their AGM at Smoky Pallet on Tuesday, 4 August.
To align themselves with other business associations on The Coromandel a name change was passed. It will now be called The Whangamata Business Association.
The night was full of several well-known locals and while the associations finances are in good stead they are not as healthy as they once were and membership has declined. However, the association is in good hands and the future looks bright and the call went out for new energy on the committee and that it’s times like this that the town needs to work together as we battle through to Summer.
