The Mercury Bay Business Association (MBBA) has concluded its six week Support Local 2026 campaign, reporting strong participation from both local businesses and the wider community. The initiative encouraged residents and visitors to shop locally, with customers and participating businesses entered into prize draws supported by contributions from MBBA members.
Coromandel Life:style Centre was drawn as the winning participating business and received a prize package valued at more than $1,500. MBBA Chair Paul Clayton said the response to the campaign highlighted the strength of the local business community. “Support Local encourages people to think local first and recognises the businesses that make Mercury Bay a great place to live, work and visit. It was fantastic to see the community get behind it.”
MBBA acknowledged the many businesses that contributed prizes and supported the campaign, noting that the increased engagement this year has set a strong foundation for future initiatives.
