Business Association working for Whitianga

Business Association working for Whitianga

With six new passionate members to the 2022/2023 Board, exciting times are ahead for the Mercury Bay Business Association. After their first social get-together for some time due to covid, the new Board met to initiate plans for their next year and one of the first things was to get underway with preparations for the annual Whitianga Christmas parade. Last year, it had to be a drive-by Christmas Parade because of Covid restrictions and The Informer led the way, but this year everyone is ready for an ‘all-stops-out’ Christmas Parade. Clare Tod, Secretary of the Business Association, is getting in touch with businesses, community organisations, schools, pre-schools, groups, to issue invitations to put in a Christmas float.

Keep the date – Saturday, 3 December and give Clare a call or email to register your float.

The Mercury Bay Business Association strives to be the voice of Mercury Bay Businesses, supporting, developing, and representing the interests of the local business community as it grows.

Ever thought of joining the MBBA? It’s as little as a cup of coffee a week – and the cheapest advertising on the Coromandel. But what’s more important than that is the Business Association will support your business and there is no doubt; this community is growing and staying connected with others wil help businesses in a growing community, especially new businesses. Membership to MBBA includes the following: · Invitations to great networking events and social function opportunities · Attendance to business seminars to provide education, training, and mentoring · Free advertising opportunities for upcoming jobs & events through Whitianga.co.nz · Marketing opportunities for all our members through business listings on Whitianga.co.nz and promotion on social media

Note the list of MBBA board members for 2022/2023: Lynda Grant (Chair) – CFM; Kevin Mckernan (Vice Chair) – Marina Park Apartments; Clare Tod (Secretary) – Wanderlust Media Ltd.; Dawn Kiddie – Dawn Kiddie Inspirational Speaker; Kim Kockett – Styled Spaces; Fleur Clayton – Smittys Sports Bar; Donna Russell – Remax Donna Russell Real Estate; Ken Hindmarsh – Cathedral Cove Scenic Cruises; Bronwyn Ririnui – Holistic Health; Darren Hartley – Coastal Signs
