Bright yellow flowers for Daffodil Day but no daffodils

It was yellow recycled material that made the daffodil badges this year right across the region for Daffodil Day. People were very generous with their donations but missed the real daffodils. Almost all of the daffodil bulbs rotted during the exceptionally heavy rains earlier this year so there were no real daffodils for the. Mercury Bay Cancer Support Trust to pick in support of the national Cancer Society fund raising day. This work for the Cancer Society took place all across the Coromandel Peninsula last Friday.
