AGM Annual Awards at the Mercury Bay Game Fishing Club

0ver 200 trophies, certificates and cash prizes were presented at last Saturday’s MBFC prizegiving.

Men, women and children – all excellent anglers – were part of the evening’s bounty for outstanding results in their game fishing. The Informer can share photos of only some of the recipients.

Hunter Nicholson and his brother Levi scooped so many awards in the Youth section. Hunter caught the largest fish of the season but Levi had the largest tally of points. Chloe Roberts won the Coromandel FM Trophy for the most releases. She also won a host of other awards. Alana Baker and partner Tom Maxwell won a number of team awards.

Warren George stole the non-fishing award for the Best Dressed man of the evening sporting a suit and tie. A fi ne angler, he took home several trophies.

She’s a good sport – Margaret Neighbours is thanked for all her stirling work for the club and her support of John.
